Child Dental Benefits Schedule

The "Child Dental Benefits Schedule" (CDBS) is a Medicare funded program aiming to provide dental care for eligible children for a range of dental services.
Our dentists are registered with the Dental Board of Australia and Medicare. All have a Medicare provider number.
So we can and do provide dental services under
- the "Child Dental Benefits Schedule" (CDBS)
We can bulk bill for services under the CDBS with your Medicare card , which means you will not need to pay anything upfront*.
Eligibility basics

children aged between 2 and 17 years on any one day of the calendar year
-
receive, or their family, guardian or carer receives, certain government benefits such as Family Tax Benefit Part A for at least part of the calendar year

are eligible for Medicare
For each child, you can claim up to $1158 over 2 consecutive calendar years.
This Child Dental Benefits Schedule will cover a wide range of services including examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canal treatment and extractions. It focuses mainly on preventative and general dental treatments. Orthodontic (braces), cosmetic treatments and any dental services in a hospital are not covered.
